‘Campaign strategy did not cause defeat’
Anisah Shukry | May 21, 2013
PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat lost the general election due to electoral fraud and an uneven playing field, and not because of its campaign strategy, leaders of the opposition pact insisted today.
PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli said the party’s campaign strategy played a small role in the general election, and what tipped the polls in Barisan Nasional’s favour was rampant “money politics, bribery, access to media and phantom voters”.
The Pandan MP was responding to the Malaysian Election Observers Network’s (Meonet) statement that Pakatan’s loss was solely due to its inability to penetrate BN’s rural vote bank, particularly in Sabah and Sarawak.
Voting denial proves phantom voters, integrity of ICs in doubt, says Rafiz
By Ida Lim
PETALING JAYA, May 20 — PKR’s Rafizi Ramli today offered evidence of phantom voters, which he alleged was widespread fraud that could potentially “discredit” the recently-concluded general election, besides putting the integrity of Malaysia’s identity cards (IC) in doubt.
“The moment you have similar IC used by different people, so much so that the genuine or actual person proving the identity is denied to vote, that means this is part of a bigger planning to allow phantom voters to come in,” the PKR strategy director said at a press conference.

By Syed Jaymal Zahiid
KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 — The government company set up to build affordable homes for the lower-income group was criticised today after it paid for full-page advertisements in Umno’s Utusan Malaysia and the MCA’s The Star to congratulate Datuk Husni Hanadzlah on his reappointment as second finance minister.
The advertisements by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) feature a colour photograph of Husni and is from the board of directors, management and staff.
According to an official from The Star, SPNB was charged RM59,529.60 for the advertisement. An Utusan Malaysia official said the advertisement cost about RM37,000.
DAP slams Zahid’s ‘arrogance and contempt’ for unhappy Malaysians
By Boo Su-Lyn
KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is denying Malaysians the right to a better voting system by telling them to migrate if they are unhappy with Malaysia’s first-past-the-post system, the DAP’s Tony Pua said today.
The DAP publicity chief pointed out that although the first-past-the-post system allows political parties or coalitions to win elections despite losing the popular vote, Malaysia’s electoral boundaries “have been excessively corrupted over the past decades”.
Most unimpressive Cabinet of all six Prime Ministers in the nation’s 56-year history
Lim Kit Siang
The Cabinet unveiled by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday is the most unimpressive Cabinet of all six Malaysian Prime Ministers in the nation’s 56-year history.
It has in fact accentuated the great divide between Pakatan Rakyat and the Barisan Nasional in the recent 13th General Elections – that Pakatan Rakyat holds out hope and a vision of new politics for Malaysia while Barisan Nasional represent the old, tired and discredited politics of race, fear, corruption, abuses of power and injustices.
Alam sekitar: Dunia baru PAS
Huzir Sulaiman,17 Mei 2013
Himpunan Black505 gempur N Sembilan, Kedah, T’ganu & Melaka
(Kenyataan Rafizi Ramli, Pengarah Strategi KEADILAN merangkap Ahli Parlimen Pandan)
Malaysians do not want Anwar to retire, poll results wrong
I refer to a poll published on 16th May which claims that 81 per cent of Malaysians want Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to quit politics. This poll result is completely contradicted by the massive ground support Anwar Ibrahim has been receiving throughout the country since he announced that he would not accept the fraudulent GE results and would fight on to take Putrajaya. This support can clearly be seen in the massive crowds of hundreds of thousands who have come out to greet Anwar at the ongoing rallies across the nation. On social media, in the streets and at public rallies, the majority of the people are united in wanting Anwar to carry on until the job is done.
GE13: You can rule Malaysia with only 17% of the popular vote
It's been more than a week since Malaysia's historic elections ended, and Malaysians are still feeling emotional about it. Some were relieved that the country went through its electoral processes peacefully, while some were angry with the results tabulated in the early hours of May 6. Some even questioned the way the Elections were carried out in the country.
We discovered on Facebook that many users had taken the trouble to tabulate the results of GE13 to learn for themselves, as well as share with others, about what happened on May 5. The terms blackout and phantom voters literally haunted the pages of social networks for days. But one term that was frequently brought up, was gerrymandering, a term used to describe an electoral practice of delineating electoral seats to favour certain parties.
Pakatan usul Konvensyen Perpaduan Nasional tepis perkauman BN
